PRIVACY POLICY

Last Updated: 24 July 2026

This Policy supplements the Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use and the Refund Policy of ThePDF.

By subscribing to an offer, the User acknowledges that they have been informed of the applicable price, the duration of the initial offer, the automatic renewal terms and the cancellation methods presented before payment confirmation.

1. SUBSCRIPTION OFFER

ThePDF provides access to certain premium features through a recurring subscription.

The current offer is:

Offer Price Duration / Billing
Initial Offer €0.90 48 hours
Premium Subscription €49.50 Per month
Renewal Automatic Until cancelled
Cancellation Anytime Dashboard or email

The €0.90 initial offer provides access to premium features for 48 hours.

Unless cancelled before the end of this period, the subscription automatically continues at €49.50 per month.

It then renews automatically each month until cancelled.

2. AUTHORISATION FOR RECURRING PAYMENTS

By subscribing, the User expressly authorises LINDMA LTD and/or its payment service provider to charge the selected payment method:

  • €0.90 upon activation of the initial offer;
  • €49.50 at the end of the 48-hour period;
  • and €49.50 each month thereafter on each renewal date until cancellation.

The initial price, subscription price, billing frequency and recurring nature of the subscription are displayed to the User before payment is confirmed.

A recurring subscription will not be presented as a one-time purchase.

3. PAYMENT METHOD

Payments are processed through secure payment service providers.

By using a payment method, the User represents that they are authorised to use it and authorises the processing of all amounts due under the subscription.

ThePDF may receive information necessary to manage a transaction, such as its status, amount, currency or transaction reference, without necessarily receiving or storing complete payment card details.

Additional fees relating, for example, to currency conversion may be charged by the User's bank, card issuer or payment provider. Such fees are not charged by ThePDF.

4. AUTOMATIC RENEWAL

At the end of the 48-hour initial offer, the subscription automatically converts into a monthly subscription at €49.50, unless it has already been cancelled.

The monthly subscription then renews automatically on each renewal date.

To avoid a further charge, the User must cancel the subscription before the relevant renewal occurs.

There is no minimum commitment beyond any subscription period already charged.

5. CANCELLATION

The User may cancel the subscription at any time.

Cancellation can be completed:

  • directly through the cancellation settings available in the User's account or dashboard; or
  • by email at contact@thepdf.co.

Once cancellation becomes effective, no further subscription renewals will be charged.

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, cancellation does not automatically result in a refund for a subscription period that has already commenced.

The User will normally retain access to premium features until the end of the period already paid for.

The cancellation process will not be made artificially more burdensome than the subscription process.

6. FAILED OR DECLINED PAYMENTS

Where a subscription payment fails, is declined or cannot be authorised, ThePDF may reasonably retry the payment or request that the User update their payment method.

Access to premium features may be suspended where subscription fees due cannot be collected.

ThePDF is not required to continue providing paid access where the corresponding payment has not been successfully completed.

7. REFUNDS

Cancellation and refunds are separate matters.

Cancellation prevents future renewals, while a refund concerns a payment that has already been made.

Refund requests are handled in accordance with the ThePDF Refund Policy and applicable mandatory law.

A refund may in particular be considered in cases involving:

  • a confirmed duplicate charge;
  • an incorrect amount charged;
  • a confirmed unauthorised payment;
  • a paid Service not provided due to circumstances attributable to ThePDF;
  • or any other situation in which applicable law requires a refund.

A breach of the Terms by the User does not allow ThePDF to exclude any refund right that is mandatory under applicable law.

8. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Where the User qualifies as a consumer benefiting from European consumer protection law, the User generally has a 14-day statutory withdrawal period from the date a distance service contract is concluded.

Where the User expressly requests that the provision of the Service begin immediately during the withdrawal period, the legal consequences of such early performance are determined in accordance with applicable law.

The fact that ThePDF provides a digital service immediately does not, by itself, automatically eliminate every statutory withdrawal right.

Where applicable law provides an exception for digital content supplied immediately, such exception only applies where the legally required conditions, including appropriate information and express consent, have been properly satisfied.

Where the User validly exercises a right of withdrawal after requesting immediate performance, a proportionate amount corresponding to the Services already supplied may be payable where permitted by applicable law.

9. EXERCISING THE RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, the User may notify ThePDF of the decision to withdraw through an unambiguous statement.

This may be sent to:

contact@thepdf.co

Where required by applicable law, ThePDF also provides an electronic functionality enabling consumers to exercise their right of withdrawal online.

Since 19 June 2026, the Cypriot framework for distance contracts includes additional requirements concerning the online exercise of withdrawal rights and confirmation of receipt on a durable medium.

Optional Withdrawal Form

The following form may be used but is not mandatory:

I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract relating to the following Service:

Service concerned: _________________
Subscription date: _________________

Email address used for the subscription: _________________

10. CHANGES TO PRICING OR SUBSCRIPTION OFFERS

ThePDF may update its subscription prices or the features included in its offers.

Any material change affecting an existing subscription will be communicated in accordance with applicable law.

A change to a future renewal price will not be applied retroactively to a subscription period that has already been paid.

Where required by law, the User will receive sufficient notice to cancel the subscription before the new pricing takes effect.

11. PROMOTIONS AND SPECIAL OFFERS

ThePDF may occasionally offer promotional pricing, discounts or special access conditions.

The essential terms of each offer, including:

  • price;
  • duration;
  • expiry;
  • and the price applicable after the promotional period,

will be presented before subscription.

Where a promotional offer automatically converts into a paid subscription when it expires, this consequence will be clearly disclosed before payment.

12. SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION BY THEPDF

ThePDF may suspend or terminate a subscription where reasonably necessary, including in cases of:

  • payment failure;
  • fraud or unauthorised activity;
  • material breach of the Terms;
  • manifest misuse of the Service;
  • legal or regulatory requirements.

Any measure taken must remain proportionate to the circumstances.

ThePDF does not reserve an unlimited right to terminate a paid subscription arbitrarily and without legitimate reason, as unfair standard terms creating a significant imbalance to the detriment of consumers may be unenforceable.

13. RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER TERMS

This Subscription Policy should be read together with:

  • the Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use;
  • the Refund Policy;
  • the Privacy Policy;
  • the Cookie Policy.

Where a conflict specifically concerns subscription billing, renewal or cancellation, this Subscription Policy applies, subject to mandatory consumer rights.

14. GOVERNING LAW

This Subscription Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus.

Where the User acts as a consumer in another country, this choice of law does not deprive the User of mandatory protections available under the law applicable to them.
